Chelsea has entered the race to sign PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, and their pursuit has gained credibility with coach Mauricio Pochettino confirming their interest.

Pochettino's eagerness to strengthen the team's forward department has sparked speculations about a potential bid for the 24-year-old star.

Mbappe currently has one year left on his contract with PSG, but he has expressed his willingness to stay at the club for the upcoming season and then leave on a free transfer once his contract expires.

Reports had previously suggested that PSG had accepted a massive €300 million offer from Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, but Mbappe has made it clear that he has no intentions of moving to the Saudi Pro League.

Following Chelsea's impressive 2-0 victory over Fulham, Pochettino hinted at the possibility of signing a new forward to reinforce the attacking options.

He emphasized the team's openness to considering players of different profiles who can complement the existing squad.

To secure Mbappe's services, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has reportedly engaged in discussions with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The Blues are prepared to offer players in addition to a cash deal in their quest to bring the highly talented Frenchman to Stamford Bridge.

The competition for Kylian Mbappe's signature is heating up, with Chelsea showing strong determination to secure the coveted player for their squad.
